2011 Hurling Championship Pools

Hi guys, I don't know who'll be running the championship pools this year but as was pointed out by patmac in his thread the championships the Ring, Rackard and Meagher cups are actually starting this weekend! I suppose the rules will follow Daysha's normal format on the pools he does! I suppose I'll get things moving by posting this weekends fixtures- we should also nominate champions for those 3 competitions too for the sake of a few bonus points!

There doesn't seem to be anything about the championship on this and it is unlikely to include the lesser competitions

4.The points system I am using has a twist to it.You get 2 points for predicting the winner of the game.Should a poster predict within 2 points of the winning margin,that poster will receive a bonus point.Should a poster predict a draw,the poster will receive 2 points and where a poster predicts a team to win but the result is a draw,the poster wil get 1 point ONLY if the poster has predicted a winning margin of no more than 2 points.Needless to say if you predict a team to win and they lose you get no points.


If ye are happy with the scoring format above I will look after the first week or two of scoring to get us up and running. We can take it from there then.

If you can stretch that to 3 weeks I'd be happy enough to take over from there if that's okay? My exams will be over then you see!

Don't know why the feckin GAA had to present us with this problem by starting it so early!
