    Hi Fellow Boarders!

new housing scheme going up across the road from my residence. All the info is available on the co council web site. Found one communication between the co and the arch. It states...
"Further to your email of xx, I wish to state that X County Council is agreeable to a "no cost housing option" or a "financial contribution" to be agreed within 8 weeks of the grant of planning permission."

Can someone interpret for me please? Is it a misprint, do they mean "low cost housing option"?

    Regards

It may be that the council is taking some social and affordable housing in lieu of the 20% of sites that they are entitled to.

Many councils were stung at the end of the boom, having received free sites, but paying more for the construction than the houses were worth on the open market.
