Code for unhiding an Eircom number?

    My phone line is ex directory
    which suits me fine no risk of cold calling etc

    but one peeve I have with is the when calling friends or family
    I would like my number to come up on their end so they know who is calling!

    I remember during 2009 sometime when TV3 were running those ridiculous late night quiz shows, they insisted you put a code before their number in order for them to ring you back!

    does anyone remember the code ?
    I have searched a bit and can't seem to find it

    any help would be great

    I think it's the same code as to hide your ID - 142. Try calling your mobile and see. :)

    Hi ayup,

    Here is the info you were looking for.

    Ex-directory customer who wants to display number

    Lift receiver.

    Dial 142 before the number you wish to call.
    Your number will be displayed for this call only

    Directory customer who wishes to with-hold number

    Lift receiver.

    Dial 141 before the number you are about to dial.
    Your number will be withheld for this call only.

    There is no charge for either service.
