    Hi Guys

Just wondering is anybody else waiting for their lone parent claim to be assesed. I applied the first week in January and had a meeting with community officer about 2 weeks later who said she would pass my claim to the inspector. Then about 3 weeks later was asked for a letter signed by my parents to state that me and my daughter lived with them and this was sent immediately. I rang again this morning after not hearing a thing since and was told it is with a supervisor but that a decsion has not been made yet? Is this normal procedue or am i being messed around??

    Thanks in advance

if you are finding it tough going, you can always have a chat with the CWO. you might be considered for a SWA.

hi, i'm in a similar situation, i put my claim in the end of october 2010, i had my interview with the inspector mid april, i'm still waiting, i keep getting told "due to the (my favourite bit) unexpected volume of cases, i just have to sit it out" those are the actual words said to me, what's unexpected, we're in a recession, i'm waiting 8 months now, the cwo cant do anything for me because i work part-time, i earn approx E200 per week, on a good week. i've caught them out a couple of time on their excuses as to why i'm still not getting paid, but still they wont move on it...so, i have to grin and bare it, and wait it out like everyone else

I called the office deailing with mine twice every week and annoyed them so much that they eventually processed it. Dont understand though why the arrears are not processd at the same time as the claim
