Tankinis

Hey ladies... I'm on the hunt for a decent 'tankini', I have looked around and have had no joy at all. Has anybody seen any? I'm a generous size 14/16, so ideally would like one with a bit of support!!

I was just looking at the Dunnes Summer range the other day and they've gorgeous swimsuits in, and I saw tankinis in really nice patterns.

Bravissimo have a sale on at the mo, saw some nice ones the other day - expensive, but worth it for the proper support!

Thanks girls, I will look in Dunnes again, only looked in a small branch, and was looking at bravissimo there, some nice ones there actually, if only I could lose 2 stone before I have to wear one!! The one I saw on bravissimo came in a aqua blue or a pink, Im quite pale skinned so Im thinking the pink might be better??

It would depend on the shade of pink, in my opinion?

I think aqua looks gorgeous against pale skin, but I don't think a pale pink would look good against pale skin. I deep pink would look good against pale skin, but definitely not a pale pink. Just mt personal opinion.

Thank you purple bobbin, is there any other colour you think would be more flattering on a pale skinned, bigger than she wishes woman? I keep going back to black to be honest!

Edit: just realised I called myself a woman, I am only 30!!!

No problem, glad to help when I can.

I personally think deep colours look gorgeous against pale skin. I think pale colours against pale skin make the skin look paler than it is rather than enhancing it.

I don't think gray (light or dark) would look good as some gray swim wear can make you look frumpy, not all, but I think it's hard to find nice gray swim wear that can make you look nice rather than frumpy.

Bright red would also look fab with pale skin.

M&S usually have a good swim wear collection, it's a little pricey (when compared to say Penneys) but I got some lovely, really flattering swimsuits there which have lasted me through a few holidays

Hi, I am also size 14/16 and just bought a fab tankini in tk maxx. It's the sea folly brand which are so nice and comfy. Got it for only 27 euro which is a steal for that brand. It's black, brown and turquoise. I love it. It has good support and very comfy!!

I always wear tankinis and get them religiously in M&S. Some of the styles can be a bit grannyish but there are some lovely ones too although fairly pricey but great quality!
