Looking for some advice....I bought a car from a dealer 2 weeks ago. When viewing the car I asked how many previous owners there were and the sales person checked and told me there were 2 previous owners, on this basis i bought the car.
I have just recieved the car cert through and there have in fact been 6 previous owners. I called the sales person who confirmed his manager had told him there were 2 previous owners and this is what he had advised me, but I would need to speak to his manager.
I spoke ot the manager who said it was my own fault for not checking the cert before I singed to buy the car, I agrued that under Sale of Good and Suppluy of Services act that he and provided faulse information but he still said it was my own fault for not checking the car before I bought it.

Should I persue or put it down to experience?

Number of previous owners wouldnt bother me personally assuming the car is in good shape ie mechanically and structurally sound.

    What make/model is it?
    Mileage,Nct/Service History?

Depends really--If it was sold on the basis of low mileage and only 2 owners and you found it had been clocked with 6 owners I`d question it.

Think we need a bit more info.

have to ask.... you bought a car solely on the basis it had only two owners????

Its '01 Audi A2, 77k - I did a motor check when I fund out 6 owners and can back OK. The NCT is due in May but the dealer has guaranteed it.

I'm concerned that with 6 owners it may not be a reliable car!

Possibly should have pharsed it better....I didnt soley buy the car on basis there were 2 owners but I would not have bought the car if I had known there were 6 owners!

if it is still under warranty by the dealer and the nct is due send it to him for a service. if anything major comes up should it be covered by warranty?
