Hi Shagman, I have a Webasto electric sunroof fitted to a Renault Fuego Turbo that I am restoring and the roof has shrunk, so over a year ago I found a place in the UK called Jeckells ( a boat trimmer ) who said they could recover the Webasto sunroof and weld the seams rather than stitch them so I took the sunroof out of the Fuego and put it in my daily car and I got the ferry to Holyhead and drove nearly seven hours to them with the Webasto sunroof. I didnt want to send the roof by courier incase it got damaged in transit so thats why I delivered the roof in person.
They recovered the roof in three days and when I collected it the sunroof was all packed up so I drove home with it.
When I got home I fitted the sunroof to the car to find it was too short and was stitched rather than welded like I asked them. I sent it back to them by courier as I couldn't face that drive again and after many phone calls they sent the sunroof back to me six weeks later broken, a lot longer but still to short and fitted off centre.
I contacted Jeckells who recovered the sunroof and they never returned my calls or emails so I seeked the services of The European Consumer Centre and again Jeckells didnt reply, so to cut a very long story short I'm in court in June in the UK to see if I can retrieve all my expenses todate.
After June I'm going to have to get the sunroof recovered again so I might contact the company you posted about!
If anyone can recommend an Irish company who could recover my roof and weld the seams it would be great!
    Thanks!
    YEAH!

I found a bloke out in Robertstown near Nass that had bought a job lot of webasto sunroofs and luckily after a lot of searching he had one (only one sorry) that fitted my Scimitar. I fitted it myself and it wasn't too hard to do .

Hi, thanks for all the links, I contacted the second link R&S Coachbuilts in the UK last year when I was initially searching for a company to recover the Webasto but they couldn't help.
    Thanks again!
    YEAH!

It's funny the different tastes . I hate webasto sunroofs. I've a Jag project with one which I will be welding up rather than source spares for it. Leaky noisy old things:)
