Match thread for tonights U18 FAYC game between United and Chelsea. First leg finished 3-2 to Chelsea.

Very promising start for the United side. Larnell Cole causing a lot of problems down the right. Morrison came close to getting 1vs1 -just couldn't get the ball under control, very close.

Chelsea sucked United in well there - caught us with a counter attack and a lovely pass from McEachron (sp) almost put the striker away - great defending from Michael Keane (Irish under age defender) to hold him up when he looked clear. Thats the danger for United - Chelsea are set up to draw United in and hit them on the break. Need to be closer to McEachron.

Again, another good chance for chelsa but for some reason they decide not to shoot on any of the bazillion chances that presented themselves in the box. An odd one, but glad from a United point of view...

United had started well, but chelsa have dominated the last 5 mins and created some very good openings, should have scored from at least one to be honest. United need to get their heads back in the game. Giving Chelsea too much space and we are playing the ball too directly, giving it away too much as a result. need to get the ball down and look for the pass.

Great save from Johnson to keep Chelsea out - in too easy yet again. United can't get to grips with the style and positioning of the Chelsea forward line.

No way would I say we have been dominating that game. Been very end to end and in the first 30mins the best chances and breaks were created by chelsea. We created a couple of nice openings just before the goals.

Been quite an even game overall, with each side dominating for 5/10min periods at various stages.

No stream but its 3 nil to united now. 5-3 aggregate. Here is report from MUTV: It's 3-0 to United and 5-3 on aggregate thanks to Will Keane's second of the match. Morrison played in Tyler Blackett, who is on for the injured Gyliano van Velzen, and the striker bundled it home at the second attempt. Great stuff!

Awful passing by Chelsea. United have strolled it in the second half and haven't even played that well, but then again they haven't needed too.

Well done United good luck in the final.

missed the second half as a mate dragged me out for a quick jog. Saw some of the highlights. Looked like Tunnicliffe upped his game in the second half, delighted to see - thought himself, Morrison and Pogba were quite quiet in the first. Didn't see enough of the second to properly comment, will watch it tomorrow.

Great to see the United young lads make the final - hopefully they get good support in the final. Some very promising young lads in that side - the trio of Morrison, Pogba and Tunnicliffe could (but lets face it, are unlikely to) develop into an awesome midfield trio for the senior side, a wonderful balance in the group.
