    Hey!!

Bit of a silly question but im hoping to become a lecturer and i know i need qualifications and the likes but.....

does it matter where i do my masters? as in..in Ireland or Abroad?
im thinking of doing my Masters here in Rennes (im on erasmus and its awesome :D ) because ill be saving a bundle of money compared with doing at home!!

so im just wondering if job prospectives are affected by where i do my degree??

    Thanks :)

No, not really. Doing it in some place with a big reputation might make you more attractive to employers, but doing it abroad wouldn't put you out of the running. Depends on your subject area and all that. Mostly employers care that if, say you're studying history you did your PhD in a University that is known for its history department. Also the amont of publications and other stuff you've done may count more than where you've done it as well.
