Regardless of what I should be doing, I always do something else, even if the task at hand is simple and would benefit me greatly if completed. I make plans to organise my activities, and yet I just blow past them without even taking the first step on the road to their completion.

I suppose I am just profoundly lazy, and yet I have managed to hide it to a great extent, meaning very few people actually realise the extent of my negligence, for now anyway. I have been like this for years.

    Anybody else like this?

I hear ya buddy. I have structure and convention. I hate the idea of formalised work. I hate the thought of HAVING to do something. I don't like the idea of being called lazy but I'd live with it I suppose.

Yep, I am the exact same. I never stress about anything which means I can't motivated to do anything. Slowly fixing myself though.. I think! **** why am I on Boards when I have stuff to be done??

I'd be similar, I rarely stress about the things I neglect, but even if I do feel pressure I don't change my behaviour. It's not that I'm staring into space the whole time though, I just direct whatever efforts I do have towards things other than what I should be doing. I have also made efforts to "fix myself" but they last about 20 minutes.

I'm the very same, f*cked for the leaving cert like :(
I'm under huge pressure and stress though and I still can't bring myself to do anything. And then when I do eventually manage to make myself study, I'm a ridiculous perfectionist and spend too long on everything and don't get other things done.

The results in August will be interesting:pac:

I wouldn't even give this the thought you have op, a year in my job now and it is actually making me incompetent. If the reward, either a feeling of satisfaction or the money aren't fair for the effort then I refuse to feel bad about not giving a fúck.

I think it was implied by the 'interesting' bit that they'll be shyte. You didn't need to clarify. Most people get sarcasm.
