    Hi,

AS the title states I need to get a bus from town/Hueston to Ashbourne Road/Charlestown Shopping in Finglas, I don't mind walking at bit when I get there.

    Thanks :D

The following buses from city centre will bring you to Charlestown Shopping Centre:

140 (From Leeson St, D'Olier St or O' Connell St)
    40 (From Parnell St)
    83 (From D'Olier St)

    Brilliant, many thanks :D

Do you know if Charlestown SC is near to Dogs Trust?!

If Dogs Trust is on the Ashbourne Road, you would probably have to get off the 140 at Lidl (when you turn off the dual carriageway after passing Tesco Clearwater and by-passing Finglas Village) and walk from there. I do not know how far it would be.

Get the 40 and get off at Charlestown, from there you walk out onto the N2 and over the foot bridge that crosses the m50 and you can get to Dogs Trust from there, it is a bit of a walk.

The Bus Eireann 103 goes right past the Dog Trust, although I don't think there is a stop at it. You could of course ask the driver nicely. If not, the next stop is about 5 minute walk further on.

The bus is probably a bit more expensive that Dublin Bus, but much faster and direct from town. It departs from Beresford Place, so you would get the Luas to Abbey street, and the Bersford place is just around the corner.

There is a stop right outside Dogs Trust just as the bus turns onto the old N2, though it's rare to see people getting off. Bus Eireann would be a few euro more expensive than Dublin Bus but if you're getting a return ticket there mightn't be much in the difference. The only issue with that is if you want to go back to town, you'll have to walk about 10 minutes to get to the right bus stop.
