My teenager has had braces now for over two years. Orthodentist has now told us that he would like to remove two healthy teeth from top gum to correct a slight overbite. Is this the usual practise or are there any alternatives? Just concerned as we would be removing two healthy teeth.

I beleive extractions are quite a common practice during orthodontic treatment so its not out of the ordinary anyway

Totally normal to extract some teeth to make room, usually premolar teeth. Dont worry.
