    Hi,

    I understand that the exchange in Carrigaline, Co. Cork has already been NGB enabled. Can you tell me whether the lines have started to be upgraded yet?

    Thanks.

    Hi BArra

    I checked and the Carrigtwohill exchange and it is defiantly enabled for customers who have not been migrated the broadband sales team can issue the order directly. If you give them a call on 1800 503 303 and get back to me if there are any problems.

    Thanks, Mark

    That's great, I rang in the order for upgrade, the agent was a little confused from what I wanted, just to be upgraded to ngb

    Hopefully I don't have another 24mb line on its way to be installed haha

    Hi BArra,

    I will follow up with you on Thursday to make sure everything has copmpleted ok.

    Thanks, Mark

    not sure how that is gonna show any differance, as i was on 24mb before, and am still on 24mb now, its just probably NGB 24MB

    speed results;

    14.76MB/s Down
    0.61MB/s Up

    my router sync's at 17827 down and 765 up

    was hoping to improve my speeds, i know there are overheads and i wouldnt get the speeds i actually sync at, but i was hoping for an improvement

    the speed result above would be slightly under what i usually got on standard eircom 24mb dsl when i ran speed tests

    which is odd :cool:
