Any recommendations for travelling to Oslo for a few days. Other than bringing lots of cash and buying your drink in the duty free. :D

    Bring sandwiches.

If you're going for Easter, it'll be fairly quiet. The mass exodus of Norwegians up to their mountain cabins for Easter skiing is well under way.

Visit the museums, well worth it.

I was in Oslo in September, I flew with Ryanair from Dublin to Oslo Moss Rygge.

Oslo is a lovely city but very expensive!

First thing I would do is get the 72 hour Oslo pass. It may seem expensive, but you get free transport and free into a load of museums, you also get discounts for certain food places. (Also, if your a student you'll get a discount on the Oslo pass. Im not a student but I was with 2 other students and the nice lady at the tourist office just gave me the student price anyway)

I would definately recommend visiting the sculpture park and the Opera House, some lovely sights.

If your not fussy I would eat in McDonalds or buy bread in shops and make sandwiches as eating out can be extremely expensive.

We didn't see much of the nightlife because one girl in our party was 19 and they have a strict over 20's policy in force.

You'll have a great time though, I definately will be going back to Oslo some day.
