    The real recession or crash imo is only just beginning. The last 3 years of messing, NAMA, Fianna Fail, turning corners etc. have just been another massive con job from our supposed leaders.

    Will all this work?

    With all the new taxes coming, water charges, USC, property tax or whatever you wanna call it, NCT every year, are all taxes designed to extract as much money from the irish people to pay the private debts of others.

    The bubble prices in property we saw in 2006/2007 are/where complete fantasy! They will never be seen again. The bubble/boom or whatever you wanna call it was and is a complete illusion built on cheap money. People have this ridiculous notion that in a few years we will have turned the true corner and be back in 2006. If you are one of these people, stop kidding yourself!!

    Anyways, unless there is some EU wide debt restructuring/bondholder burning or whatever you wanna call it this country is doomed. We will only exist as a country in all but name with our sole purpose to pay off these debts and if we ever do we will be left with nothing because all our state assets will have been sold off to pay these debts as well.

    The truth hurts but us Irish are great for burying and ignoring problems until they boil over and blow up in our faces, drinking, mental health, child abuse, tax dodging etc.

    I was down at the gym this evening. There was this auld lad, had to be about seventy, wearing goggles in the sauna. He then got into the jaccuzzi with them on.

    I think he thought he had to wear them any time he was in the vicinity of the pool. Poor auld divil.

    It made me lol.
