HTC Desire S Meteor & Network Settings

    Hi,

    Just moved from pay as you go to bill pay on Meteor with lovely new Desire S. After Meteor's network problems over the weekend I've only just been switched over around 4pm earlier today (Tuesday) but still cannot connect to mobile network. I'm getting the error "connection failed due to incorrect APN setting" even though I've checked them ten times against the meteor listed settings (http://www.meteor.ie/support/smartphone/correct_data_settings/) and the ones on boards (http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=64010620&postcount=1987).

    Has anyone else had this problem and whats the solution do you know?

    check with meteor to make sure you are provisioned for data. try your meteor sim in another phone if possible to rule out your phone as the problem.

    Rung Meteor customer care for fifth time and this time they realised something was wrong on their side - they had assigned two conflicting APN settings preventing me from connecting. Why they didn't realise earlier I don't know. But should be fixed in twenty minutes.
