    Hi Everyone,

I know this has been discussed before but I would like a more recent opinion, instead of re-opening a thread.

I'm looking for a car & NRG Motors in Dublin have one I really like. Does anyone here have any proper experience with them? I know NRG Motors (formally Orange Motors) in Limerick have a bad rep., but I'm not sure if they are the same company.

Anyway, back to the point. I'd like to get this car, but, I don't want to buy a shed. It's a Renault Megane CC (don't laugh, I like them!!). I know they can have their niggles, but I just want to make sure the dealer is reputible enough.

    Thanks.:)

Owner denies clocking cars at city garage

    Published on Friday 14 March 2008 14:53

THE owner of a car sales company in Limerick city, which has been found to be selling on at least four "clocked cars", has apologised to customers but denied that they were directly involved in reducing the mileage reading on the cars.

Following a recent investigation, the National Consumer Agency identified four cars which had been sold by Orange Motors Ltd, Monoclino Industrial Estate, Ballysimon Road, with a reduced mileage reading.

Vladimir Mozgovoi set up the Orange Motors Ltd two years ago and operates as "a professional auto trader sourcing vehicles from large dealer groups, private sellers and auctions."

The company currently has some 28 motors on its books and according to their website they offer "a good choice of second-hand cars will surprise you with the prices - the cheapest in the country."

When contacted by the Limerick Leader, Mr Mozgovoi said: "We had a supplier from Dublin and the mileage was unchecked by us, so in a way it is our mistake and we apologise for it.

The investigation was done very quicky - it looks like we did it (clocked the cars], but we didn't. But we will be now trying to find new suppliers."

On March 6 this year, a formal undertaking was obtained from Orange Motors Ltd, not to engage in car clocking, or sell on clocked cars. To date, three consumers have been compensated, but customers are also entitled to return the cars according to the agency.
