    Hi,

If your computer came with a reinstallation disk and you have all your files backed up you can reboot the laptop with the disk in the DVD rom drive and it should reinstall everything. Bear in mind however that it will wipe all of your information emails, pictures, Internet explorer bookmarks, programs, program preferences etc. If you have the computer set up the way you like it repair would be better than reinstall.

    Hi,

Have you updated to the newest Service pack? Windows 7 SP1

And update all other updates afterwards. It should make a difference, anything that may be conflicting should be patched.

Might also be worth it to check if all your drivers are up to date.

Since I recently installed Windows 7 updates, my computer has been on a complete go slow, in particular Internet Explorer
