social welfare claim

    hello,unfortunately my job (was covering maternity) finishes up this week. i have to face the social welfare crowd again. i have a house cant afford to live in & have had to move home to my parents. the last time i was unemployed 10 months ago - i was able to say i was living in my own house with a couple. if i am living at home with my parents - am i entitled to social welfare?

    Depends whether you are entitled to JSB or not.
    If not you will be means tested for JSA - if you are under 25 then your parents income will be taken into account.

    it all depends weather you will be claiming JSB or JSA, if it's JSB you will be fine but if your claiming JSA and your under 25 you will be means tested on your parents income if they are working.
