Grad/Debs Dress online

I swore I wouldn't get my dress online but I have seen, and fallen in love with, a dress from America. Nowhere in Ireland, UK or even Europe stocks the dress (including online) so to get the dress it has to be America (online).

The website says that all dresses can be altered by your local tailor but even so my chest, waist and hips all pull in 3 different sizes (a difference of 4 sizes between my chest and hips). Is that risky? Plus the dresses are made by order (though they are one standard size) so I can't return it.

Any opinions, or own experience? I really love the dress!

I was the same as you, swore I wouldn't buy a dress online, too many risks. But then I fell in love with one and just had to have it. I was in between sizes as well, but I was only in between two - bust and hips of the smaller size, and the waist of the larger one. Eventually I decided on the smaller one, as it was strapless and didn't want any falling down! I also thought that the dress would look a bit off it was taken in, but not too bad if it was let out. Didn't have to go to the tailor in the end, as luckily enough it fit perfectly :)

Sorry, don't know if that was any use to you...:p One thing to keep in mind though, have you tallied up how much it will cost when you add on VAT and possibly customs? This can add a fair bit onto the cost of the dress. In my case it added on €40, but still wasn't too expensive overall :)
