2011 €20 Gold Proof Coin - sold out

I was surprised to see the new coin sold out, on its first day of issue.

i wasnt that shocked that it sold out to be honest, its the first coin that the central bank has offered for a while thats good value for money considering the asking price was €40 and the bullion value at todays price is €33.55. i think alot of people saw it as a good investment in comparison to some of the other "special editions" that they have been release lately

That coin only has an intrinsic value of 16 euro, not €33.55. Remember, it’s 0.5 gram of gold, not 1 gram.

Shock at speed of the sale as well, I visited the central bank around 11 yesterday, the downstairs receptionist told me the coin was sold out just 10 mins ago.
Disappointed.

for anyone looking for these coins there are several still on ebay .de cheapest iv seen bin price is 53 euro with 7 postage to ireland

have seen people on other sites selling them for 100 euro each and even someone trying to sell them for 300 euro each !!

Can anyone help me locate one of the new €20 gold coins. I wany it for my daughter who is getting married on June 11th. I know i would have to pay over the odds but any help would be appreciated.
