Heineken Cup final tickets

Hey, on a spur of euphoria around half time in the Leinster Leicester match I got my dad to get me two tickets for the final in Cardiff. A FedEx package from Ticketmaster arrived the other day and I went off to pick it up expecting to have my tickets in my hand.

However what arrived was a lovely looking map of Cardiff and a slip stating a reference number for the tickets.

What I am wondering is, should my tickets have been in this package from FedEx or am I panicking over nothing and they'll arrive closer to the date of the final?

Did your dad select to have the tickets delivered or to pick them up?

My Dad received his and the tickets where in the envelope, along with the map of Cardiff and a page with a reference number.

Right, don't have a good feeling about this, will ring Ticketmaster in the morning and see what the craic is, hopefully they just forgot to pack them but I have a bad feeling that someone may have helped themselves to my tickets :(

Best of luck with that, I've always found Ryanair customer service to be more helpful than ticketmaster.

Note: If you have to pick them up in Cardiff, then it's the credit card that booked them on line that will need to be presented at the collection point.

The same thing has happened to me. Got my tickets booked with someone elses card. My lovely package from Fedex arrived this morning with a brochure and a receipt but no tickets. I rang ticketmaster customer care in the UK which I could only get through to after getting transferred from Ticketmaster Ireland and they told me that they couldn't discuss the booking with me. You'll have to get your dad to ring them as will I. Let me know if you get anywhere with them.

I ordered my ticket from Ticketmaster by 'phone and they told me it would be sent to my home 2-3 days before the final. However as I am in England at that time I have to pick it up on the day of the match from the Ticket office at the Millennium Stadium. Hope there is no problem when I arrive to pick it up.

My tickets arrived about a week ago, with a little map, reference number / receipt stub and my two tickets.

Best bet is to get the card holder on the phone, or just get the cardholders (if it's your dad) card details and say you're him.

So I got on to Ticketmaster UK again, with the cardholder. Then I got a call back saying there had been a mix up with tickets to Ireland that the receipts and brochures were sent in error as they didn't have the tickets in yet. They said they would e posted when they got them in. I don't know if they're just filling me with crap but fingers crossed I'll get them soon.

You've plenty of time to sort it out anyway. I wouldn't worry too much yet.

Though it does make you wonder exactly what the absurd service charge gets spent on when crap like this happens.

****! Just opened my fedex package and have the same issue. Are they emailing you tickets or what? Feck it anyway. Can anyone please let me know how this is to be sorted out? Thanks

I hope you get sorted but it wont be because ticketmaster are helpful, they have the worst customer relations I've ever dealt with. The agent will only give their first name, they wont give you the name of a supervisor, the supervisor will never ever ring you back but are always too busy to take your call just now or are out to lunch, tea or whatever.

Hey Twominator, I heard nothing back from ticketmaster I had to ring them again with the cardholder. After long discussions(heated ones) they rang me back, they issued replacement tickets but wouldn't send them over. I have to collect them on saturday from the millenium stadium from 2pm onwards. Its a pain in the ass for me because I wasn't the cardholder (I'll always use my own in future) I have to have a letter from the cardholder with lots of details in it and bring my passport along to collect them. Ticketmaster were a nightmare to begin with but the lady I dealt with did sort it eventually and was decent enough. I had her send me an email to confirm my collection of the tickets at the box office and I plan to bring it with me. I suggest you get on to ticketmaster ricky tick cause it can take a while to get it sorted. They've really made a balls of this one!!!

Thanks Irishsmurf. Got on to them this morning and have to collect the tickets too. What was the point in spending €9 fed-exing a map and a receipt? You have to wonder about people sometimes....
