Commercial Jeep price increase

    My dad is looking at a new Land Rover Discovery Commercial and has been told that there has been an increase of 12% on the price, apparently other commercial jeeps will see the same increase by the end of the year.

    Can anyone tell me if this is true and why??

    It's got something to do with VRT changes.

    It's because all commercial jeeps didnt leave the factory as van but infact cars, they were no Destoryed i.e. Change to comm, when they arrived in Ireland.

    Because of this they have to be charge an mimumum vrt 12.5% not 50 euro which it used to be.

    Only out right vans get 50 euro not I believe.

    Stupid Goverment.

    the price has gone up 13.3% , its the new VRT rate on all crewcabs and vehicles that dont meet the type approval of our EU overlords. Conversions pre vrt are no longer allowed so no more commercial range rovers, x5's , Q7's etc.... the discovery and the lwb landcruiser are the only ones that escaped afaik and theyre at 13.3% now
