Cork City Volunteer Fair

    A volunteer fair will be held in Cork city on the 10th to the 12th of June. There will be an opportunity to interact with a lot of volunteer organisations so if you are in the area and potentially interested in volunteering it should be informative. Voluntary organisations have a deadline of the 22nd of April.

    Applications are now open for this year’s Cork Volunteer Fair, running from Friday 10th – Sunday 12th June 2011.

    Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr. Michael O’ Connell is organising the largest volunteer fair in the country as part of Cork Volunteer Week, which runs from the 6th – 12th June 2011. Over 150 non-profit organisations will exhibit free of charge at the Fair in City Hall, Cork at the following dates and times:
    Friday 10th June 2011 from 6 pm to 9 pm
    Saturday 11th June 2011 from 10 am to 4 pm
    Sunday 12th June 2011 from 1 pm to 4 pm

    Cork Volunteer Week is sponsored by Cork City Council & Bord Gáis Energy. The aims of the fair are to:
    highlight the work of community volunteer groups
    encourage more people to volunteer
    make volunteering more accessible
    create awareness of the variety, flexibility and diversity associated with volunteering.
