Old Guinness TV Ad?

Having caught the tail end of a rather haggarded looking Paul Galvin's trip to the Antartic, I got thinking of the Guinness Ad with Tom Crean, super ad. Then I remembered another ad where the barman takes the tv down from it's shelf, walk down through the town and dumps it somewhere and they all head back to the bar for a heap of pints, I was pretty sure it was for Guinness but can't find any record of it.

Am I losing my mind or did such an Ad exist?

It did. I believe it was filmed in Westport, Co. Mayo.

Yes it did exist. It was only on TV about 3 or 4 years ago.

It's only old in the sense that anything that isn't happening at this precise moment is old.

The "Ta siad ag teacht" one is old.

Anyone ever see the ad like the one where the guy swims to New York? but in the ad im on about its a guy walking to a house in the rain and comes in a leaves marks on the floor with his footsteps? think he is carrying cans of Guinness IIRC.
    It definitely not on YT.

Those ads actually do put the goo on you. Might have one after work.

That was on a few years ago, it's not that old.

The best ad is probably the riverrock ad with the three guys in a lift.

Was that Guinness ad a p**s take of the other one? what would it be named on YT to find it i wonder?

That's not a great ad for Guinness in fairness.

That company has consistently managed to make the worst ads ever.

My water's bigger than yours? What? Impress women by buying bottled water? It's not a bloody lynx ad, and your market isn't 16 year old boys.

Water you wear? Again... what? But this time I'm just lost, what does that even mean?

I'd have sacked the marketing department within seconds of them suggesting that as a potential slogan.

I'm mostly indifferent to ads, but those really stuck with me because of their awfulness.

I spent a good portion of the night last night on YT watching beer ads, the guys in Fosters are pretty good too.

    While were digging these up...

Does anyone have the one where the skinhead guy in t shirt is on bus moving to the big city. In his head, he saying "No more small town, no more small minds - no more thick ankle girls etc etc" and then he has a reality check by hearing his local hurling team lost

Anyone have it? I will give 100 million of my fakest Euros to the first one. :D

It's a pity not many publicans took the hint.
