I'm picking up the 10-40X50 sf tomorrow secondhand for the same reason BR 22 I probably try it on my 223 this weekend as I haven't gotten the licence for my match54 yet.

Will let you know what it's like...

having a hard time finding a benchrest scope high power with fine reticle.

closest i can find online is a ZOS, would like a varible zoom and shooting .22lr

not sure about this brand, they have the magnification but use milidot, does it matter if it is illuminated? (competition rules)

these are the two that got my attention.

any other suggestions? 24 power min.

    thanks

had one on my .22 i used it for shooting benchrest for Well over a year and it never gave me a bit trouble. Great scope for the money you pay for it. I bought mine on ebay from China and had it shipped to me in less than a week.

    Special Ops,
Big magnification and quality optics are not going to come at these prices.

Have you sussed out a Nikon Prostaff, Refield Revolution, or Burris Fullfield? They are all great scopes that will cost more, but not near the range of S&B, USA Optics, and such.

If you have anyone traveling to the states you should ask them about the Nikons. They are on sale at the moment...

did have my eye on the redfield revolution but was told i need at least 24 power for benchrest, that's why i'm now exploring other options. the redfield that was in my budget was only 12 power.

so better magnification or better quality scope?

Well the way I seen it was:
    1. I'm on a small budget for the scope
    2. @ 50 meters the optical clarity does not need to be along the lines of a lightforce.
    3. Once it holds Zero and chances are on top of a 14lb. rifle fireing .22lr the recoil () isn't going to thump the pooh out of it.
    4. having the extra mag will be more useful 40X should be nice and clear at 32X.
    5. So with my minuscule budget and given these parameters the ZOS fitted the bill... especially at €70

think you have me convinced, if i get serious about benchrest, i'll go with the Weaver T36 after many months of saving.

the ZOS will get me started.

thanks for all the help :D

After a few Months with my ZOS I'm. Very happy to say it's working great. Holding zero no problem. Not too clear at Max power but shooting at 36 to 38 and working fine.bit heavy and the addition to the side focus wheel can be binned. Other then that two thumbs up

i found it great at 50yards but id have to go back on what isaid in my earlier post, after bringing it out hunting on a few sunny days i found it near impossible to see anything through the scope with glare, and i found it awkward on on the 22 in the fields, but for 50yard shooting on the range it was perfect
