    Hi,
I was wondering when (realistically) will there be refurbished iPad2 available (in the states or here in Ireland)?
I have heard rumours about screens needing replacing already on some iPad2 - so will they be classed as refurbished then & go on sale on the website?

From memory it was October / November before I noticed refurbs on the Apple site and I'm pretty sure that was on the US site. I'd say near Christmas before you see them. The supply just isn't good enough for new, let alone old iPad 2's at the moment. Even the second hand market isn't off the ground yet.

As regards screen replacements, I'd say they will replace and return to the customer. I doubt they will be refurb stock.

Is there enough of a saving though to wait for refurbs to come on the market? For the sake of 100euro saving max? I wouldn't think its worth waiting weeks or months for a refurb.

If you want one, its kinda of your call. Wait 6 to 8 months, or spend the extra €100 now. The second hand market won't open up til mid summer either way. So as for saving, as for all apple products, your normally best off just taking the dive and buying when you want it.

Saving would be €50 based on the iPad 1 refurbs.
