    Hello,
Hope I am in right place. I've just noticed these strange files appearing all over the place in different folders. See Attachment.
I recently made changes to enable me to see hidden folders. This was done under instruction from a spyware company person, maybe this has caused the problem. I am waiting for their comments but in the meantime any thoughts would be most welcome.

    Thanks for reading.

Those are all perfectly fine. The thumbs.db file is a cache for thumbnails of pictures in a folder. The ehthumbs.db is the same except for video files. They speed up previews of the files. Desktop.ini is a settings file for the folder. Such as if the folder is given a custom icon etc.

Its fine to delete them and fine to leave them there - they are maintained by Windows

I certainly don't like them ,there are more appearing every day. In the 4 years I've had computer they were never there before. If I manually delete them will they keep popping back up. And is it due to those hidden folder settings I changed which I mentioned in first post.

Yes it is. Just change it back to hide hidden files and folders and they'll be hidden once more.
