    Well Lads,

Who's going to win this year?

Forecast is very good for the weekend so should be low scores.

Dermot McElroy is favorite with paddy power @ 7/1

(he shot a ten under last week a course record in the Peter McEvoy Trophy)

Lowest local player is @ 22/1

He is the man to beat. Sticking a few quid on Richard O'Donovan at 33-1.

Saw Richard beat Rory Leonard last year in the interprovinicals. Sound lad and some player. Stuck 5 e/w on him.

Eddie McCormack for me. Won Shannon senior scratch cup at weekend so he is in form anyway. Nice price at 28/1.

Pat Murray @ 33/1 ia also value i think.

with that weather its extremely unlikely.......to get so many late pull outs..know of a reserve ahead of you who will be there waiting........years ago waited first reserve all week only to on the day be heartbroken at event...fingers crossed tho

Know it's a long shot but will head down anyway and play a practice round. Few lads from the club playing so will hang around and watch them for first two rounds

The cut fell at 151 with 3 players on that mark getting in.

My two bets of McCormack and Murray have qualified so im happy.

You know, if gorfield met that Anderson in the final I would nearly fly back to walk it.

The pre match handshake is reminding me of John Terry v. Wayne Bridge.

That is assuming that gorfield still has no time for cheaters still playing the game

I was up at this at the weekend and followed a few games on Sunday. I've played Rosses quite a few times and I was blown away by the standard. I've played with a few good golfers in my day but, to me, these guys were fantastic. Followed Chris Selfrigde from the north beat Gary mcCormack. Chris hit a driver for his 2nd shot on the 12th to just off the green. The blues on that hole were where the whites are normally and the 2 lads hit it 40 yards beyond my usual "good" drive. He had hit a glorious draw against a nice breeze too on the 4th. Whilst they were both great to watch, I left a bit depressed!! Feel like a hacker now!!
