Service Battery

    Hi,

I got a notification in the battery toolbar saying 'service batter'. It says to get it checked out by an Apple Authorized Service Provider. Is this free? I'm out of warranty at this stage, the laptop is about 20 months old at least. Also is there any of these authorized shops in Dublin (city centre if possible)?

In future is there any steps to take to avoid messing up the battery?

    Thanks in advance

    T

It means the battery health is low. Install coconutBattery and see what health it is reporting. To get rid of it, try cycling the battery.

They won't replace the battery free of charge outside of warranty.
