brother/sponsor part in visa application

    hi guys
    iam in the process of applying for a subclass176 visa, i have a brother in sydney sponsoring me. i was talking to the brother this evening and he was wondering what the procedure was from his point of view.
    will they be contacting him about this application?
    what obligation is on him sponsoring me?
    what commitments will immigration be looking for from him?
    is there anything else that he will have to do?
