Almost done with the braces, orthodontist query

I've had braces for about 19 months now and my orthodontist said hopefully it will be this summer when the braces come off. Until now ive been very happy with the treatment, but lately im getting a little concerned about what is happening at the clinic i was attending. A while back, i was told my treatment would be finished by another orthodontist, for health reasons of the original one. Then i was informed the clinic would not complete my treatment but my orginal orthodontist would at a new location. Bit weird, but i thought ok at least it won't delay the treatment as it might having a new orthodontist. Also, i am owed some money back as i overpaid slightly during the first year and when my orthodontist told me the clinic should repay me, im hearing the opposite story from them. Im not overly worried that i won't get the money back, im sure i will, but should i be concerned about mis-communication and from my point of view the lack of professionalism of this place? Perhaps im over analysing, but im worried about how close im coming to the end of my treatment that maybe i won't get the "perfect smile". I don't know if i should consult with other orthodontists to ask their opinions in regards my braces to ensure everything is being done correctly. Again, im not sure if im being over critical, im happy so far with the treatment and the orthodontist i have seems very capable but at the same time im not an expert! Any advice anyone has on this pm me please, id really appreciate it.
    Thanks :)

Sorry to hear that you are having some trouble. I cannot give you any explicit advice without an examination.

What I would say is that it is usually better to have the same person start and finish the treatment unless the orthodontist is unable due to health resons or if the patient as to move away.

The situation is unusual but you say you are happy with things so far and there is nothing to suggest that your treatment is not being carried out correctly. I would guess that you are attending a chain of clinics but do not post any details please.

You should discuss with both orthodontist and the clinic about the refund and the orthodontist will be able to tell you where to go for the continuation of the treatment and how long is left. After this, if you are still unhappy you can of course get a 2nd opinion about the treatment to give you peace of mind
