I bought a new cordless phone which is plugged into the phone socket beside my sky box but now I notice my channel4, channel4+1, more 4, e4 etc are jumping and distorted... Does anybody know if the phone distorts the signal.

Yep. It sure can. I had the same problem previously, different channels but same distortion and pixelation from a cordless phone. Move the phone as far away as possible, even a couple of feet can make a difference.

I've been having this problem for the last few weeks since we got our kitchen done up - all channels fine except channel 4, more 4, e4 etc. All other channels fine. It's been driving me nuts, so thanks for the info on the cordless phone, as this is now sitting right beside the Sky box!!!
I'll try moving it this evening to see if this works.

Tried this last night and it worked!! Moved the cordless phone and now all the channels are working perfectly!! Thanks for the info.
