AIB fixed term 18 month deposit a/c any good?

Hi Thinking of putting 25k into AIB'S 18 Month fixed term Deposit a/c. The interest A.E.R is 3.6%, so I would make €900. Is this €900 then subject to DIRT @ 27%? Looking to lock it away for about 18 months to 2 years. Would Credit Unions or An Post be a better option? Thanks
