    Hi,
Hope someone can help me with this.

My laptop ( as above ) has powered off and will no power back on. I have followed manufacturers instructions remove battery hold down power button, but nothing, There is power going to laptop as green light is on indicating battery power.

On the morning this happenned this is what happenned.
When I open my laptop I normally hit the power button immediately, as I did this the screen was already on, it was like some updates or something had run overnight as the msn log in screen was up and the canon information for my printer I presses the power button , it shut down and nothing since that was last Friday.

Obviously there is an issue but is there anything I can try before I must fork out to have repaired.
As always thank u in advance for your advise :)

    Hi Shellyb,

Have you tried powering it on without the battery in it? Just using power from Electrical socket.

It could also be dirty Ram, Try taking out one stick of ram at a time, and seeing if it powers on with just one of them in either ram port.

When you say "nothing since that was last Friday." - Do you mean, no power? No lights.... NOTHING!

Or do you mean, It powers up, but you can't see anything on the screen...
