    Regarding applying for JSA during the summer months between college, am I entitled to apply basically?

    I know this was bought up in a closed thread a few down, but the minute I saw text speak I got out cause it hurts my head.

    Anyway, Im 22 on the 2nd of May, Im just about to complete a repeated year in college, iv been on the JSB for in and around 13 months in the last few years, so can someone give me some insight as to wheter I would qualify or not?

    No, college/uni students aren't eligible to claim during the summer, no matter how many stamps/taxes they've paid.

    That's wrong ^^

    during the summer months any full-time students can claim JSB if they have enough PRSI paid.

    Only mature students can claim JSA.

    Leaving cert students can't make a claim until 3 months after they sit their last exam.
