Vinyl Flooring

I'm getting a vinyl floor laid on wednesday. We have taken up the tiles in the kitchen (they were tenting) and are struggling to get all the adhesive up. Besides from removing the adhesive and cleaning the floor, is there anything else that needs to be done to prepare the floor?

Also, how soon will we be able to walk on the floor and move the furniture back in?

    Thanks!

You'll need to have the floor smooth, with no bumps or pits in it, otherwise they'll show up through the floor. you may need to look into a floor grinder to get rid of all the adhesive properly.

The company that's fitting it should be able to tell you how long to give it before you walk on it.

Floor grinder? Never heard of that. Are there companies out there that do that or would I find a handyman to do it?

I don't have much time but with a toddler running around I can't go without a floor any longer

You'd kinda want someone who knows what they're doing tbh. I've never used a floor grinder, but they are big contraptions and need a fair bit of work.
