Explosions in the Sky release their new album on the 26th April. It's called Take Care, Take Care, Take Care

Bit about it in The A.V. Club - here.

You can download new track Trembling Hands from the band's website.

    Got it today in Tower...
Was it only meant to come out on the 26th?

That's the date I read for the US release. Perhaps it was scheduled for earlier here.

Was scheduled for release in UK a week before rest of Europe and US.

    Presumably Ireland too so.

Well, it's out one way or the other, and it's good...
    Very imaginative cover artwork too...

I love EitS but I found this pretty disappointing...

It's a little removed from All Of A Sudden... which is unfortunate, but I'm sure they'll still sound awesome live. Good album, but not their best

The last 3 songs are really great. The first 3 songs are so-so.

Just listening to this now for the first time - I actually quite like it! A bit more upbeat or something than their other stuff, if that makes sense. Trembling Hands is very good.

Really interesting, I'd never heard of them.

I'm not quite sure how I feel about "instrumental" bands, I never thought I really needed lyrics in a piece of music but sometimes it feels like something is missing or is incomplete without them. I loved British Sea Powers soundtrack to the Man Of Aran, as a soundtrack though it didnt need lyrics. I like Working For A Nuclear Free CIty too.

Whats their best album? All of a sudden? I actually might buy that instead of the new one.

All Of A Sudden I Miss Everyone or The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place would be the best places to start I think.

I like this a lot. Really, really excited about seeing them in a couple of weeks, so much so that I'm doing things like running backwards up the stairs and putting food in the washing machine and clothes in the oven.
