Personally I hate eating out, it's like a kind of torture to me, restaurants dragging the arse out of 3 courses and me feeling more and more socially uncomfortable with each passing minute. Much prefer going down the pub, having a right old laugh with the lads.

So the fact that I can go out, have a few beers, a good laugh and a kebab on the way home with the wife must be highly unusual then? We can happily dine out. But since I have a lot of business lunches/meals with work, I get a bit sick of them tbh.

Not into fancy restaurants, I’m such a picky eater that I rarely find something I like to eat. Not into getting wasted anymore either, did a bit too much of that in my teens/college years:o. Somewhere in the middle, take out and a few glasses of wine, or going out and drinking till I’m merry (not fooked up).

I like both but I think it's a waste of a good meal to go on the rip afterwards, mainly because I'm too full for drinking. I would happily sip wine all night though!

To be honest I'd probably pick just about anything over being stuck in an overcrowded room with a hundred people, where moving to the other side of the room is practically a major journey (let alone bringing anything back) and if you want to have a conversation with the person sitting on the opposite side of the table you practically need to bring a pen and paper.

And that's an all right session. If the group decides to go to a night club, well its more of the same except louder, darker, more boring (because I can't dance and there is little else to do except hang around with the smokers) and I have to pay €10 to get in.

Its all about the company.

Definetely going on the beer I wouldn't count going for a meal as a proper night out, it's something you do with family or for a quite night with your oh.

Luckly my friends would have the same opinion and anything other than a quick burger would be classed as a waste of drinking time and money.

I find the thought of going for a meal as my regular Saturday night pastime quite boring.
