Hi Folks, I am looking to decorate one of our bedrooms into a nursery. We are looking to repaint the walls, however, in patches, the paintwork i sflaking to show the old paint underneath. What do i need to do to ensure that when i put the new colour on that it doesnt happen again. Many thanks in advance for any help. PG

scrape off old flakey paint, sand where it was flakey, and dust then paint the walls with a coat of p.s.u : primer,sealer,undercoat to be exact.
that will sort the problem for you
