Hi guys, hope this is the right place for this!

Going to Sydney for 3 weeks in Sept with the bf, and wondering where you would recommend to stay that's cheap, central and not riddled with bedlice or something!
It'd be for a week, as we've got accom sorted for the other too, and we've no problem staying in a hostel either.
    Anyone got any ideas?

Also, any thoughts on some hidden things to do in Sydney? We all know about the Harbour etc, but what's the little gems that you've found?

    Thanks all,
    Mich

You won't get any 'cheap' hotels in the city! You can try private rooms in hostels YHA usually have a high standard and are not really a party hostel, other than that have a look for hotels near the city - glebe, ultimo, surry hills etc

www.wotif.com usually have decent deals / nameless hotels etc

Well, not cheap as in bad quality, but cheap as in well priced! It's a holiday, so we don't want to be slumming it, but we're on a budget too if you know what I mean!

    Thanks for that!

If your looking for a good hostel I'd recommend Wake Up on Pitt Street. Its clean comfy and have various dorm sizes and private rooms as well. Has a really good bar downstairs as well.
