    So my 4 year old Acer Extensa 562OZ is on its way out and i am happy to admit to being ****e as to knowing which is the best value laptop for me! I use my laptop for email, storing music and photo's, skyping and generally staying in touch with friends, a DVD drive is a must with a good microphone and inbuilt camera, i dont necessarily need a huge hard drive as its basically entertainment is all i use it for, so what do you guys recommend? I have no preference to brand and budget is strictly €400, thanks for any help:)

    The Compaq Presario CQ60 is really good for the purposes u described.
    I bought it about a year and a half ago for something like 350.
    It has a nice broad screen with really good resolution and it's pretty fast.
    The battery works for quite long without being plugged in.
    I use it for work and have never been let down by it.
    It's also surprisingly light and looks stylish enough.
    It does have a DVD drive and built in cam and good speakers and mic that work great on Skype.
