I have installed a stanley erin on a 4 pipe system 2 pipe gravity feed and 2 to heating system my problem is that the gravity feed will not flow the flow pipe is rising all the time till it drops to the cylinder then flow back to the boiler. the problem seems to be that its trying to push water out the flow and return jamming it has anyone seen this before

A few full stops would make the post easier to read to start! The flow to the cylinder should rise to the expansion pipe (vent) before droping to the top connection on the cylinder. This primary circuit should be all in 1" copper, with no restrictions at any stage. Ideally the entire primary circuit should be no longer than 4 or 5 lenghts of pipe too.

The gravity flow pipe to the cylinder should rise up to the top cylinder connection at all times. It should not rise and then drop to the cylinder, connection as it would not gravity circulate.

It sounds as if the stove has been added after the cylinder/heating system was fitted. Do the gravity pipes to the cylinder have further pipes going to a small tank? What is called the cold feed and vent pipes.

Could you post some pictures of the cylinder and pipes?

Thanks for your reply. cylinder was added with the stove the rising pipe comes out of the stove at 26 inches and rises to 82 inches at the cylinder drops 9 inches into the top of the coil then goes back to the stove on the ground.
