Aurora - 4X space strategy game

    I just found out about this game. Its for more hardcore micromanagement types.

    The game is free. It has basic graphics, and involves mainly spreadsheets Similar to Dwarf Fortress. I haven't played it yet, but my interest is definitely piqued.

    Basically people get a solar system or some such and get to create the infrastructure to design and build their fleets and hammer into aliens or take the diplomacy and trade route.

    It looks like you can have realistic solar systems based on the real galaxy,or a randomized galaxy.

    The graphics are simply, and look like they are based on a radar screen type format. Kind of like if you played Homeworld 2 from the scanner.
