Syncing iPod with "New" iMac

Ok, when I say new iMac, its not exactly new. Let me explain.

Due to a hard-drive issue, had to completely wipe iMac and reinstall OS.

When I plugged iPhone into it, the iPhone treated it as a new computer thus had to re sync with computer. Which I did for calendar and contacts etc. However, there are some songs purchased on the iPhone which are not on the computer (the rest of my iTunes library comes from CD's) thus a warning is coming up when I go to sync music.

My fear is that when I sync, the purchased songs on the iPhone will be wiped.

    Is this the case?

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

Can't you not hit transfer all purchase from iPhone? Ctrl+click on the iPhone on the left hand side.

Failing that iTunes allows you to download already purchase cotebt for free providing you haven't downloaded it on >= 5 devices.

Does this work for apps too? I've been syncing my ipod with my sisters laptop, but now have a new computer. I've swapped over a lot of music and downloaded the rest but I'm not sure what'll happen my apps when I sync it. I have a lot of notes and stuff in them that I don't want to lose. Any advice?
