Replace CSI with Arrested Development repeats on FX, sorted then.

4 good shows, bar the killing, horrible.

If you are looking at the killing why not go and see it's far far superior danish counter part (Forbrydelsen) . Better acting, better intensity and just a far greater show in every dimension.

Whoa whoa whoa.. I'm watching both and am absolutely loving both - and I'd never dismiss 'The Killing' as horrible.

For what it's worth, the acting is much for much. The two leads in Forbryselden (Sarah/Jan) are better actors, but Michelle Forbes in 'The Killing' is absolutely superb and far better than her Danish counterport.

The pilot of 'The Killing' was different but felt better structured than the pilot of 'Forbryselden'.

And it's a bit unfair to dismiss it so harshly after 3 episodes.

It's too easy to brand a remake / reimagining as "terrible" and "horrible" but it's standing on it's own feet so far and has been absolutely fantastic.

It says the station they're on after each:
    The Killing AMC
    The Borgias Showtime
    Breakout Kings A&E

As of yet, these shows are still to air in the UK & Ireland.. they're currently airing in the US on those stations.

C4 have the rights to The Borgias + Camelot, i'm sure Breakout Kings will be on one of the UK cable channels.

'Breakout Kings' is breezy lighthearted fun. It's nothing more than that.. it's not particularly smart but it's engaging and witty enough. You could do far worse!

'The Borgias' doesn't appeal to me in the slightest however.

I was gonna make a new thread about this - but I am getting sick to fuggin' death of these historical biopics / medieval re-imaginings with tits and guts. It's real overkill right now with everything from Camelot to Spartacus to The Borgias to Game of Thrones (GoT is warranted, but the others I've no time for).

Finally some good TV to look forward to again on a Monday. Used to love Mondays when Californication and Dexter were on and now I have reason to love them again.

Thanks for the tips as always Richard.
