Family member about to upgrade to HD with UPC for the fiver a month extra - is currently on Go Digital Select which is €29 a month. This package is no longer available - seems to be "Digital Select Extra" now which is €32.

So my question is - if they upgrade to HD will it cost a fiver or €8 with a forced upgrade to select extra.

(not even sure what the difference between select and select extra is for the €3...)

    thanks

i think the only difference is that you will get ESPN free which includes a hd channel

thanks dunworth. So you reckon they will force an upgrade rather than just pay the extra fiver - i.e. would prefer to keep current package and not pay the extra 3 euro for espn..

they might not force it but you never know really.

my guess would be that they will upgrade you alright
i'm surprised your still on it i was auto moved when they introduced it

Well to be honest if I was you i'd demand the upgrade to cost only 5. And dont forget to mention sky's attractive packages. They'll kiss your ar5e if you tell them you'll walk. Trust me I got credit for loss of signal when I threatened with sky. :)
