How much do you want to use it for? (Mins and texts)

Are you going to be ringing or texting one network mostly?

I would be using it sparingly, 80-100 minutes per month maximum, 20-30 texts max, no particular network

Tesco then might be your best bet. As they will double your topup amount from €10 upwards:> http://www.tescomobile.ie/OurPricePlans.aspx

id second tesco have switched from vodafone and its great value. was spending 20 euro a week on vodafone which i could not afford. you also get free credit if you port your number over from another network. i bought 20 credit and have alredy got the bonus 20 and another 10 so far.

I'd look at just mobile which uses the vodafone network (tesco uses O2's network).
You can top up by as little as 4 euro:

and the two main plans are:

or for 18 euro per month topup you get free calls and texts to any network:

T&C's state max 250mins and 600 sms but thats quite a bit for 18 euro
