    Hi guys,

I'm running Mobile Partner 11.002.03.18.21, which is the version that came on my E160G dongle.. Just wondering if there is anywhere you can get the latest version (as I've upgraded to Windows 7), having a few issues with it..

I've tried Huawei's site and a few different sites that came up in my google searches.. but I cant find a valid update.. Nothing on Three's site either..

Do you want to update the dashboard or the firmware?

    Try: http://www.dc-files.com/

There are update files for the Huawei E160.

    They have the following listed:

    Dashboard (generic)
    Dashboard (MedionMobile)
    Dashboard (N24)
    Dashboard Update
    Firmware Update

If there are problems with the Mobile Partner Software then you can create a dial up networking connection. Only problem can be getting the AT commands right for the APN and you need to ADD
at+cgdcont=1,”IP”,”3internet” as the intialization string (In control panel Phone and Modem, find your E160G in the modems list right click and click properties then on the Advanced tab add the line above in Extra initialization comands: ) About the only other info you need is that the dial string is the usual *99#

Advantage to you of using a DUN connection is that as it cuts out the Mobile Partner software altogether so you'll then know if its the cause of your "few issues".

Some info on creating a dial up connection here in the last scroll box near the bottom of the page.
