My macbook pro has been misbehaving lately. If my battery goes dead and I put it charging it wont turn on while charging for about 20 mins... Its as if it needs a "base" level of charge before it will boot up....

Any ideas? (besides not allowing it to go dead!! :D)

Sounds reasonable. If you were working and kept working till you collapsed, the least you'd hope for is that some one would leave you rest/recharge for twenty minutes before cracking the whip again. Sorry I can't be of more help than that, but I'm sure it does need some sort of base level of power before starting again or else it would just keep dying. Like you said, no mystery to it, just charge it and watch for when you are coming to end of battery life. Charge again. Simple really.

I'd agree with you except this has only started recently... I reckon my battery might be getting knackered...

most macbook pro's need an 85w power supply unless they are new models. is there a chance you are only using a 60w?
